4x4 Relief: Supporting Communities Through the Pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, 4x4 Relief stepped forward to provide vital support to underserved communities across Malaysia. From distributing food and medical supplies to building infrastructure for Orang Asli villages, our small but mighty team and network of volunteers made a significant impact. Here’s a timeline of our efforts:

April 2020: face shields for frontliners
With the help of 25 volunteer teams working from home, we produced over 15,000 face shields for Malaysia’s frontliners.

25 to 27 April 2020: Triple missions in Johor
A massive 1,700km journey covered 30+ locations in three days to deliver food, face masks, hand sanitizers, and PPE.

14 February 2021: Valentine’s Day Mission
A collaborative effort with ECM Libra Foundation, Rise Against Hunger, and Ferris Wheel Organisation saw 2 tons of food delivered to a total of 9 care centers and old folks’ homes, including:

6 April 2021: Food rations for refugees
ECM Libra Foundation generously sponsored food rations for 55 Rohingya refugee families in Ampang. These families, who are stateless and rely solely on their UNHCR cards for identification, include 5 single mothers, 32 small families with 2–4 members, and 18 larger families with 5–8 members. Most of them have been unable to secure regular employment over the past year due to the ongoing pandemic.
1 May 2021: Hulu Langat mission
We provided Rice package (sponsored by RISE Against Hunger), face masks, and sanitisers to 450 Temuan Orang Asli families (1,800 approximate population) based in the following Kampungs in the Hulu Langat area.

3 July 2021: Lojing mission
In response to requests from the Tok Batins of Pos Ber, Kg Kensau, Kerbok, Marik, and Chedau in Lojing, Kelantan, we partnered with #KongsiMakan 2.0 to provide vital support to 105 Temiar families. This morning, Cameron Tan and our dedicated team successfully delivered one-month food rations to Pos Ber, ensuring forward distribution to the surrounding kampungs. A big thank you to PDRM for their seamless coordination and to JAKOA for their unwavering support in facilitating this mission.
27 and 28 July 2021: Bera mission
In response to requests from the Orang Asli community in Pos Iskandar, Tasek Bera, we stepped in to assist during a challenging time. Several villages were placed under EMCO, while others faced MCO restrictions due to positive cases around two weeks ago. Even before this, our Semelai Orang Asli brothers and sisters were already struggling with the prolonged lockdown, loss of casual work, and stalled businesses. Collaborating with The Bera Relief NGO and local agencies, we delivered 111 much-needed food ration sets, providing support for 1.5 months. A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors, Corteva Agriscience and Rise Against Hunger.
10 Sep 2021: Kg Chang Lama & Pos Gedung
We extended our support to 520 Orang Asli families across Kg Chang Lama and Pos Gedung in Bidor, Kg Sekam LZ & Dam in Cameron Highlands, as well as the Orang Asli Quarantine Centre in Sungkai. The assistance provided included:

7,000 face masks
16 Oct 2021: World Food Day
In honor of World Food Day, we provided essential food rations to the Orang Asli communities in Kampung Sg Kiol and surrounding areas.

In response to requests from seven Orang Asli villages in the Sg Koyan area, which were under EMCO until 2–3 weeks ago, we stepped in to do our part in easing the stress and urgency following the lockdown.
