On 23 May 2022, we received an urgent plea from the Tok Batin of Kampung Orang Asli Galang after a devastating fire broke out in the kampung. Tragically, three homes were completely destroyed, one was partially damaged, and several others were affected. It was heartbreaking to witness the immense loss these families faced—not only their homes, but everything they owned, coupled with the emotional toll the disaster took on them.
In response, we immediately mobilized to provide relief by distributing essential food and daily items to the affected families. The food supplies included:
RAH Rice – 1 carton
Oil – 2kg
Bihun – 2kg
Tepung – 2kg
Sugar – 2kg
Salt – 1kg
Sardines – 4 tins
Bawang – 2kg
Eggs – 1 dozen
Tea – 1kg
Biscuits – 2 packs
Ikan Bilis – 1kg
Milk – 4 tins
Salted Fish – 200g
Potatoes – 2kg
Soy Sauce – 1 bottle
Additionally, we provided essential daily items to help them rebuild their lives:
Clothes – for children, mothers, and fathers
Shoes & Slippers
Sarongs
Towels
Soaps
Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
Pails & Scoops
Basic First Aid Kit

Sleeping Mats
Blankets & Pillows
Torch Lights

This emergency relief effort was our way of showing solidarity with the affected families, helping them regain some comfort and dignity during a difficult time.
